Optimized Properties in Multifunctional Polyphenylene Sulfide Composites via Graphene Nanosheets/Boron Nitride Nanosheets Dual Segregated Structure under High Pressure

Liangqing Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, a BN/GNP/PPS composite with a dual-segregated structure was successfully fabricated, achieving significant improvements in thermal conductivity and electronic transmission by optimizing the coating and encapsulation of fillers. High pressure has a greater impact on the EMI shielding and thermal conductive properties of the composite, and there is a synergistic enhancement effect between BN and GNP.

Thermally Conductive Styrene-Butadiene Rubber/Boron Nitride Nanotubes Composites

Cristina S. Torres-Castillo et al.

Summary: The use of boron nitride nanotubes (BNNTs) in thermally conductive composites has been explored. A binary mixture was used to bridge the gap between the solubility parameters of BNNTs and styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR). The resulting SBR/BNNT composites showed improved thermal conductivity and storage modulus, but the viscoelastic properties were negatively affected at higher BNNT loadings. A good balance in thermal conductivity and viscoelastic properties was achieved at a BNNT loading of 5 wt%.

Temperature-Selective Self-Assembled Superlattices of Gold Nanoparticles Driven by Block Copolymer Template Guidance

Young-Jin Yoon et al.

Summary: The study investigates the self-assembly of gold nanoparticles into highly ordered superlattices using amphiphilic block copolymers as templates, demonstrating a temperature-selective response. The formation of body centered cubic (BCC) or face centered cubic (FCC) structures with closed looplike phase behavior was controlled by additives and temperature, marking a significant advancement in the field.
