Modeling and implementation of a novel active voltage balancing circuit using deep recurrent neural network with dropout regularization

Mostafa Noohi et al.

Summary: Recurrent neural networks (RNN) have emerged as powerful tools for modeling and analyzing the nonlinear behavior of electronic circuits. This study proposes a new modeling method (Dropout-LFDRNN) and demonstrates its potential application in energy harvesting systems, specifically in active voltage balancing circuits. The results show that the Dropout-LFDRNN method outperforms conventional deep recurrent neural network modeling methods in terms of accuracy without sacrificing speed.

A novel zero voltage transition boost converter and artificial neural network-based estimation of converter efficiency

Naim Suleyman Ting et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a novel zero voltage transition (ZVT) boost converter and predicts the overall efficiency of the converter using an artificial neural network (ANN) model. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed snubber cell significantly improves the overall efficiency of the converter. Moreover, the ANN model allows for accurate estimation of the efficiency of the converter under different operating conditions.

Modeling and implementation of nonlinear boost converter using local feedback deep recurrent neural network for voltage balancing in energy harvesting applications

Mostafa Noohi et al.

Summary: This paper presents a novel active balancing approach based on a boost converter to implement a piezoelectric energy harvesting system. By utilizing local feedback deep recurrent neural networks (LFDRNNs), the nonlinear behavior of the boost converter can be accurately modeled for EH system design. The LFDRNN-based model shows improved accuracy and simulation speed compared to existing models.
