Procriostic importance of mitral e′ velocity in constrictive pericarditis

Summary: The study assessed the prognostic implication of medial mitral annulus early diastolic velocity (e') in long-term mortality after pericardiectomy in patients with constrictive pericarditis (CP). The findings suggest that increased mitral e' velocity is associated with better outcomes in these patients, and there is a paradoxical relationship between E/e' and pulmonary artery wedge pressure without a direct inverse correlation.
