Bit-level image encryption algorithm based on random-time S-Box substitution

Mengchen Wang et al.

Summary: In this study, a bit-level image encryption algorithm based on chaos and S-Box was proposed to overcome the shortcomings of traditional cryptography in encrypting multimedia information. By constructing a 3D discrete memristor-based chaotic map and S-Boxes with larger key space, the effectiveness of the encryption scheme was demonstrated through experimental and security analysis results.

Research on cascading high-dimensional isomorphic chaotic maps

Qiujie Wu et al.

Summary: A general chaotic construction method by cascading multiple high-dimensional isomorphic maps is presented in this paper to overcome the security weakness of discrete chaotic sequences caused by small Lyapunov exponent and keyspace. The resulting chaotic map has enlarged parameter space, larger chaotic domain, and bigger Lyapunov exponents with proper parameters. By utilizing the generalized 3-D Henon map as an example, diverse maps are obtained through cascading 3-D Henon maps with different parameters or permutations, revealing new dynamical behaviors in the cascaded systems. The excellent performance of the obtained chaotic sequences is demonstrated through an application of image encryption.

A universal method of chaos cascade and its applications

Fang Yuan et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a universal method for a cascade chaotic system (CCS), with improvements made to normalize arbitrary discrete chaotic systems for constructing a series of CCSs. It also explores the inheritance and enhancement of robustness from the subsystem in CCSs for the first time. The designed CCS is implemented on field programmable gate array board, with chaotic sequences generated and tested using NIST software.
