Facile fabrication of CuO nanoparticles via microwave-assisted method: photocatalytic, antimicrobial and anticancer enhancing performance

Summary: In this study, biogenic CuO nanoparticles were successfully produced using Andrographis paniculata as a source by the green method of microwave-assisted process. The resulting CuO nanoparticles exhibited small particle size and good photocatalytic performance. They also showed inhibitory effects against foodborne pathogens and potential anti-cancer activity. Furthermore, the biocompatibility of these biogenic CuO nanoparticles suggests their potential applications in toxic pollutant treatment and pharmaceutical drug development.

Catalytic Reduction of Methylene Blue Dye by Copper Oxide Nanoparticles

Summary: CuO nanoparticles were synthesized using the precipitation method and modified with SDS and CTAB surfactants. The characteristics of CuO NPs were investigated using XRD, XPS, SEM, FT-IR, and EDAX. The CuO-SDS catalyst showed the best results in the reduction of MB dye, with complete degradation achieved in 10 minutes. The reuse of CuO-SDS catalyst for five cycles proved its effectiveness in reducing MB dye.

In vitro Cytotoxicity and Antibacterial Activity of Optimized Silver Nanoparticles Against Wound Infectious Bacteria and Their Morphological Studies
