A Linear Piezoelectric Actuator Based on Working Principle of Three-Petal Mouth of a Rabbit

Summary: In this study, a ring-shaped linear piezoelectric actuator with three driving teeth is proposed and designed. The actuator operates similarly to the opening and closing actions of a rabbit's three-petal mouth. Experimental results show that the actuator achieves high velocity and displacement resolution, and the velocity can be smoothly adjusted over a wide range. Additionally, the actuator can drive a hollow cylinder mover along different slopes without the need for auxiliary structures.
