A Highly Miniaturized, Chronically Implanted ASIC for Electrical Nerve Stimulation

Jay Shah et al.

Summary: We introduce a wireless, fully implantable device for peripheral nerve stimulation, encapsulated in biocompatible silicone. The device can be powered by a wireless RF signal and offers a wide range of selectable stimulation parameters. In animal experiments, the device demonstrated long-term efficacy.

Trans-Spinal Electrical Stimulation Therapy for Functional Rehabilitation after Spinal Cord Injury: Review

Md Akhlasur Rahman et al.

Summary: Spinal cord injury (SCI) is a debilitating injury with severe complications, but recent development of noninvasive electrical neuromodulation treatments offers hope for rehabilitation. Trans-spinal direct current stimulation (tsDCS) and trans-spinal pulsed current stimulation (tsPCS) have shown promising results in improving sensorimotor and autonomic functions.
