Subchorionic hematoma and risk of preterm delivery: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the association between subchorionic hematoma in early pregnancy and preterm delivery and other adverse pregnancy outcomes. A total of 16 studies were included and analyzed, and the results showed no significant association between subchorionic hematoma and preterm delivery in singleton pregnancies. However, there was an association with miscarriage. Further studies are needed to explore the research questions.

Stratified risk of pregnancy loss for women with a viable singleton pregnancy in the first trimester

Summary: In a retrospective cohort study, it was found that the risk of pregnancy loss in women with viable singleton pregnancies after confirmation of fetal heart activity is 5.4% before 20 weeks. The study also indicated that the risk of miscarriage in pregnant women can be stratified based on gestational age and number of previous miscarriages, ranging from 0.8% to 33.7%.
