Solitary Fibrous Tumors of the Head and Neck: A Single-Institution Study of 52 Patients

Summary: This study evaluated the clinicopathologic characteristics of head and neck solitary fibrous tumors and identified features that may predict tumor recurrence. The results showed that head and neck solitary fibrous tumors have a significantly higher rate of local recurrence compared to metastasis. Tumors can recur many years after initial therapy. White patient race was found to be the only significant predictor of tumor recurrence.
