Generic AI models for mass transfer coefficient prediction in amine-based CO2 absorber, Part II: RBFNN and RF model

Summary: In this study, a generic AI model was developed using the radial basis function neural network (RBFNN) and random forest (RF) algorithms to predict mass transfer coefficient in amine-based CO2 absorber. The model took into account operating parameters, amine type, and packing characteristics to ensure better applicability. The results showed that the BPNN model provided the best prediction performance, with AAREs below 5%. The developed model could serve as a fast and efficient tool for preliminary selection and evaluation of amines for CO2 absorption.

Estimating the thermal conductivity of soils using six machine learning algorithms
