A Better Understanding of Diethylstilbestrol Electro-Oxidation: Towards the Design of an Electrochemical Sensor

Malek Bibani et al.

Summary: The obstacle in developing a reliable electrochemical technique for tracing diethylstilbestrol (DES) lies in its complex electrochemical behavior. This study thoroughly investigated the electro-oxidation of DES on a gold electrode in acetonitrile, revealing two successive and irreversible processes. The established method showed high precision and reproducibility for detecting DES in poultry feed samples.

Prediction of performance and exhaust emissions of a CI engine fueled with multi-wall carbon nanotube doped biodiesel-diesel blends using response surface method

Hamit Solmaz et al.

Summary: This study investigated the performance and exhaust emissions of a direct-injection diesel engine fueled with multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) in biodiesel-blended diesel fuel using response surface method (RSM). Results showed that adding MWCNTs to the fuel can reduce UHC and CO emissions while increasing NOx emissions. The optimal engine working conditions were found to be a load of 10 Nm and a concentration of 98 ppm for MWCNTs.
