A critical review of public-private partnerships in the COVID-19 pandemic: key themes and future research agenda

Summary: This study reviews the current literature on public-private partnerships (PPPs) in the COVID-19 pandemic, identifying key themes and research gaps. A systematic literature review methodology was used to critically analyze 29 highly relevant articles, leading to the identification of eight major themes including changes in PPP contracts, development of COVID-19 vaccines, economic recession, facemasks and testing kits, and governance and sustainability of PPPs. The study also highlights seven research gaps, particularly in the areas of mental health and post-pandemic recovery plans.

Evaluating lean techniques to improve success factors in the construction phase

Summary: This paper aims to develop a decision-making model to analyze and select the most appropriate lean technique (LT) for improving site management and reducing waste in the construction phase. A comprehensive literature review identified six LTs and 11 critical factors affecting construction phase efficiency. The results show that Daily Huddle Meetings are the most effective LT for improving success factors in the construction phase, and Efficient Construction Management is identified as the most critical factor influencing LT selection.
