Concussion Baseline Retesting Is Necessary When Initial Scores Are Low

Summary: The objective of this study was to investigate the differences between initial valid and invalid scores in baseline concussion testing, as well as the impact of retesting on baseline scores. The results showed that retesting significantly improved baseline scores, and participants who initially had valid scores outperformed those with invalid scores on certain items. Therefore, it is recommended to retest individuals who score below acceptable ranges to ensure athlete safety.
