Elderly-onset generalized pustular psoriasis: a case series

Jen-Ping Chao et al.

Summary: Elderly-onset generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is rare and has special clinical phenotypes. This study reports seven cases of elderly-onset GPP, showing atypical clinical features and a lower frequency of IL36RN gene mutation. IL36RN mutations may have a significant, dose-dependent effect on the age of onset for GPP.

Significance of IL36RN mutation analyses in the management of impetigo herpetiformis: A case report and review of published cases

Miyuki Yoshikawa et al.

Summary: Impetigo herpetiformis (IH) is a rare variant of generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) that develops during pregnancy and is associated with IL36RN mutations. Most IH patients in Japan and China have IL36RN mutations, suggesting an important role of East Asian founder mutations in the pathogenesis of IH.
