A photo-induced direct arylation reaction of quinoxalin-2(1H)-ones with aryltriazenes has been developed under catalyst-free and ambient conditions. The synthetic importance of this methodology was demonstrated by its simple operation, excellent functional group tolerance, and gram-scale synthesis.
