Summary: The study evaluated a PV-powered walk-in-type semi-cylindrical forced convection solar tunnel dryer integrated with a mobile alert system for drying shrimps. The drying characteristics and behavior were modeled, and the performance of the dryer and the PV panel were assessed. The results showed that the drying process followed the falling-rate drying period, and the Page model accurately predicted the drying behavior. The dryer achieved a maximum drying efficiency of 20.22%, and the PV panel supported the load requirement for drying with an average electrical efficiency of 11.64%.
