Cost compensation method for PEVs participating in dynamic economic dispatch based on carbon trading mechanism

Qingyun Nie et al.

Summary: This study reconstructs a dynamic economic dispatch model for Plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) and establishes a mechanism for compensating battery degradation cost with carbon trading revenue. Through 3 case simulations, the rationality of the model and solution algorithm is verified, and the negative impacts of battery degradation cost on dispatch are quantitatively confirmed. Setting 6 carbon prices, it is shown that the carbon trading revenue can fully compensate for battery degradation cost and eliminate their negative impacts, suggesting a potential new subsidy policy for electric vehicles.
