Balaji Bakthavatchalam et al.

Summary: This research proposes the use of nanofluid as a coolant and a nanofluid cooled radiator to enhance the heat transfer rate of thermoelectric air conditioners. Experimental results show that the newly designed system performs best at 6A input current, with a lower temperature drop, higher cooling capacity, and coefficient of performance. Compared to conventional air conditioners, this system achieves significant energy saving and CO2 emission reduction.

A review on buildings energy information: Trends, end-uses, fuels and drivers

M. Gonzalez-Torres et al.

Summary: Buildings contribute significantly to climate change, but there is a lack of reliable and consistent data for the development and evaluation of mitigation policies. Residential buildings have the highest energy consumption, with HVAC systems being the main source. Electrification has the potential to mitigate climate change if renewable power is promoted, but global cooperation is needed to break the link between economic growth, urbanization, and energy consumption in developing nations.

Experimental Investigations on the Performance of a Hollow Fiber Membrane Evaporative Cooler (HFMEC) in Hot-Dry Regions

Nanfeng Li et al.

Summary: The applicability of a hollow fiber membrane evaporative cooler in hot-dry regions was investigated through experimental studies. The research found that the cooler has good potential for application in hot-dry regions, especially in areas with higher temperatures and lower humidity. The outlet air parameters can meet the thermal comfort requirements of hot-dry regions, and the air flow rate has a more significant impact on performance parameters than the water flow rate.

Comparative performance analysis of a static & dynamic evaporative cooling pads for varied climatic conditions

Shiva Kumar et al.

Summary: The study introduces the development and performance testing of an evaporative cooling unit. Results show that the system's performance, including evaporation rate, cooling effect, coefficient of performance, and energy consumption, are affected by different input conditions. The experimental findings indicate that the system's performance decreases with increasing air flow rate, and the optimal performance is achieved at a water flow rate of 0.6 LPM; dynamic packing achieves thermal comfort faster compared to static packing.

Composite hollow fiber membrane dehumidification: A review on membrane module, moisture permeability and self-cleaning performance

Wenjun Zhao et al.

Summary: Hollow fiber membrane (HFM) modules have various applications in separation technology due to their high packing density and selective permeability. However, membrane surface fouling from dust particles carried by moist air can significantly reduce efficiency. Key challenges include membrane permeability and surface pollution, which can be addressed through surface modification and superhydrophobic modification for enhanced permeability and self-cleaning ability.
