Comparative study of nitrate all solid state ion-selective electrode based on multiwalled carbon nanotubes-ionic liquid nanocomposite

Karolina Pietrzak et al.

Summary: Carbon nanotubes have been widely used in various scientific fields, including the construction of ion selective electrodes. A study found that the type of carbon nanotubes in a multiwalled carbon nanotubes-ionic liquid nanocomposite affects the parameters of the solid contact nitrate ion-selective electrode. Various methods were used to compare the effects of different types of carbon nanotubes.

Highly stable potentiometric sensor with reduced graphene oxide aerogel as a solid contact for detection of nitrate and calcium ions

Min-Yeong Kim et al.

Summary: A reduced graphene oxide aerogel (rGOA) was prepared as a solid-contact material for a stable ion-selective electrode, demonstrating fast charge transfer and large double layer capacitance. The sensor showed excellent Nernstian responses and ion detection limits, with improved long-term stability due to the hydrophobicity of rGOA, making it an effective platform for detecting inorganic ions in plant sap.
