Electrocatalytic oxidation and determination of hydrazine in alkaline medium through in situ conversion thin film nanostructured modified carbon ceramic electrode

Summary: Here, we synthesized a highly electro-catalytically active composite material and characterized it using various instrumental techniques. The results showed that the prepared material exhibited high efficiency for hydrazine detection at low oxidation overpotential, with a wide linear range and sensitivity, as well as fast response time, high stability, and good repeatability.

Photoinduced organometallic mediating radical polymerization of acrylates mediated by CoII complexes of non-symmetrical tetradentate Schiff-base ligands

Summary: Three new cobalt(II) complexes with non-symmetrically-substituted N2O2 tetradentate Schiff-base ligands were synthesized and used as controlling agents for the polymerization of n-butyl acrylate photoinitiated by TPO. Complex 1 showed the best control over molecular weight and dispersity, indicating good performance in the OMRP process. Kinetic and computational studies support activation/deactivation equilibrium exerted by complexes 1-3 via reversible termination mechanism.

Development of a simultaneous analysis method of azodicarbonamide, semicarbazide, and hydrazine in flour products using HPLC

Superior electrocatalyst based on mesoporous silica nanoparticles/carbon nanotubes modified by platinum-copper bimetallic nanoparticles for amperometric detection of hydrazine

Summary: Here, a novel and efficient sensor for the determination of hydrazine at trace level is introduced by modifying mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNPs)/multi-walled carbon nanotubes dispersed in carbon paste electrode with PtCu nanoparticles (PtCu NPs/MSNPs/CNTs/CPE). The suggested sensor showed favorable analytical performance with low limit of detection, wide linear range, high sensitivity, rapid response time, and high selectivity for hydrazine detection.

Ruthenium and palladium oxide promoted zinc oxide nanoparticles: Efficient electrocatalysts for hydrazine oxidation reaction

Summary: This study reports the development of novel and robust electrocatalysts for hydrazine electrooxidation reaction (HzOR) and their applicability in direct hydrazine fuel cells. Among the investigated catalysts, RuO₂-ZnO/Al₂O₃ and PdOZnO/Al₂O₃ as ternary catalysts showed the most promising catalytic performance. 1% PdO-ZnO/Al₂O₃ exhibited the highest diffusion coefficient, current density, and electrochemical surface area (ECSA) among all the catalysts.

Facile synthesis of TiO2@PANI@Au nanocomposite as an electrochemical sensor for determination of hydrazine

The synthesized nanoparticles were characterized using XRD, FESEM, EDX, and electrochemical techniques, demonstrating efficient detection and quantification of hydrazine in a linear range of 0.9 x 10(-6) M to 1.2 x 10(-3) M.

Spectrophotometric estimation of hydrazine in various water samples via direct and indirect methods

Summary: Two spectrophotometric methods, direct and indirect, were suggested for estimating hydrazine sulfate in water samples. They are based on charge transfer reactions and oxidation reduction reactions, producing stable colored complexes for measurement at specific wavelengths. The methods showed good linearity, sensitivity, and were successfully applied for estimation of hydrazine sulfate with satisfactory recoveries.

The introduction of hetero atoms improved dispersion stability and electrocatalytic activity, potentially pioneering the development of PVP-assisted MOF materials for the electrochemical detection of hazardous analytes.
