Differences in turbid-water influences from hydroelectric development have led to contrasting changes in sedimentary diatom assemblages in Anderson and Seton lakes. Additionally, both lakes experienced diatom compositional changes around 1980, possibly as a result of rising local mean annual air temperatures and associated limnological changes.
