Macro- and Microplastics in the Antarctic Environment: Ongoing Assessment and Perspectives

Long-range atmospheric transport can bring plastic fibers to Antarctica, and drifting plastic debris has the potential to carry alien organisms into the Southern Ocean. The urgency to fill methodological gaps and reduce microfiber release is emphasized.

The gut retention time of microplastics in barnacle naupliar larvae from different climatic zones and marine habitats
