The results showed significantly increased risks for breakthrough infection in vaccinated cancer patients, especially those undergoing active cancer care, with marked heterogeneity among specific cancer types. Breakthrough infections in cancer patients were associated with significant and substantial risks for hospitalizations and mortality.
