KPZ-TYPE FLUCTUATION EXPONENTS FOR INTERACTING DIFFUSIONS IN EQUILIBRIUM

Benjamin Landon et al.

Summary: We consider a class of N diffusions in equilibrium interacting through a potential V. By studying a height function, we obtain the order of fluctuations for a general class of smooth convex potentials. Our nonperturbative methods provide matching upper and lower bounds for the variance of order N-2/3, consistent with models in the KPZ universality class. Our analytic approach does not rely on explicit formulas or existing results for the O'Connell-Yor polymer.

Concentration for integrable directed polymer models

Christian Noack et al.

Summary: In this paper, we investigate four integrable models of directed polymers that exhibit KPZ fluctuations in the free energy. We introduce a common framework for analyzing these models, based on previous work. By applying an iterative method, we derive estimates for the central moments of the partition function at the near-optimal scale. One of the innovations of this study is the development of formulas for correlations between functions of the free energy and the boundary weights, which avoids the need for Gaussian integration by parts.

A Riemann-Hilbert Approach to the Lower Tail of the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang Equation

Mattia Cafasso et al.

Summary: The Fredholm determinants associated with deformations of the Airy kernel play a crucial role in solving the KPZ equation and modeling positive-temperature free fermions, with logarithmic derivatives expressible in terms of a 2 x 2 Riemann-Hilbert problem for deriving asymptotics. As an application, precise lower tail asymptotics for the solution of the KPZ equation with narrow wedge initial data are obtained, building upon recent results by Corwin and Ghosal.

LOWER DEVIATIONS IN β-ENSEMBLES AND LAW OF ITERATED LOGARITHM IN LAST PASSAGE PERCOLATION

Riddhipratim Basu et al.

Summary: The research investigates the law of iterated logarithm of last passage percolation (LPP) on Z(2) with exponential passage times. It shows that the limit inferior of the sequence of passage times almost surely converges to a deterministic negative constant. The proof involves a shift in perspective from point-to-point passage times to point-to-line passage times, and relies on the correspondence of the latter to the largest eigenvalue of the Laguerre Orthogonal Ensemble (LOE).
