Effectiveness and safety of lotion, cream, gel, and ointment emollients for childhood eczema: a pragmatic, randomised, phase 4, superiority trial

Topical corticosteroids with emollient-based therapies remain the cornerstone of treatment, with systemic therapies indicated for patients who fail to control the disease. Emerging targeted therapies are expected to bring additional clinical benefits for patients with inadequately managed disease.
