Modified regular black holes with time delay and 1-loop quantum correction *

Yi Ling et al.

Summary: In this study, regular black hole solutions are obtained by incorporating the 1-loop quantum correction and a time delay. The behavior of the curvature for different types of black holes is compared. These regular black holes may provide more information about the construction of effective metrics for Planck stars.

First Sagittarius A* Event Horizon Telescope Results. I. The Shadow of the Supermassive Black Hole in the Center of the Milky Way

Kazunori Akiyama et al.

Summary: This study presents the first observations of Sagittarius A* using the Event Horizon Telescope. The data supports the presence of a supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way, with an image that is consistent with the expected appearance of a Kerr black hole. The results also connect dynamical measurements of stellar orbits to event-horizon-scale images.

Photon Spheres, ISCOs, and OSCOs: Astrophysical Observables for Regular Black Holes with Asymptotically Minkowski Cores

Thomas Berry et al.

Summary: Researchers have proposed modified spacetimes to mimic the characteristics of black holes without singularities. Recent advances in near-horizon astronomy allow for observational distinctions between black holes and potential mimickers. Physically observable quantities for a recently proposed regular black hole show complex relationships between horizons, photon spheres, and stable orbits, providing rich astrophysical phenomenology.

Universal properties of light rings for stationary axisymmetric spacetimes

Minyong Guo et al.

Summary: The study reveals the existence of at least two light rings propagating in opposite directions around a nonextremal black hole, with the outermost one being radially unstable; and at least one retrograde light ring around an extremal black hole, with at least one being angularly stable.
