Convallatoxin inhibits IL-1β production by suppressing zinc finger protein 91 (ZFP91)-mediated pro-IL-1β ubiquitination and caspase-8 inflammasome activity

Yue Xing et al.

Summary: The study reveals that convallatoxin inhibits IL-1 beta production by down-regulating ZFP91, thus preventing inappropriate inflammatory responses and maintaining immune homeostasis. This finding provides new insights for the development of convallatoxin as a novel anti-inflammatory drug targeting ZFP91.

Recent Advances in the Discovery of Multitargeted Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors as Anticancer Agents

Ting Guo et al.

Summary: The treatment of cancer faces challenges with currently approved tyrosine kinase inhibitors, as they are becoming less effective in complex cancers and contributing to chemotherapy resistance. Multitargeted tyrosine kinase inhibitors are more advantageous in therapeutic effects and have become a hotspot in antitumor drug research.

Usnic acid suppresses cervical cancer cell proliferation by inhibiting PD-L1 expression and enhancing T-lymphocyte tumor-killing activity

Tong Xin Sun et al.

Summary: In this study, usnic acid was found to decrease PD-L1 expression in tumor cells, enhance T cell cytotoxicity, and inhibit PD-L1 protein synthesis by cooperatively reducing STAT3 and RAS pathways. Additionally, usnic acid induced lysosome biogenesis through mTOR signaling pathway suppression, leading to PD-L1 translocation and subsequent proteolysis in lysosomes. Furthermore, usnic acid inhibited tumor growth by downregulating PD-L1 and affecting cell proliferation, angiogenesis, migration, and invasion processes.
