Urchin-Like Structured MoO2/Mo3P/Mo2C Triple-Interface Heterojunction Encapsulated within Nitrogen-Doped Carbon for Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution Reaction

Summary: In this study, a polyoxometalates-organic-complex-induced carbonization method is developed to construct a MoO2/Mo3P/Mo2C triple-interface heterojunction encapsulated into nitrogen-doped carbon. The mass ratio of dopamine and ammonium phosphomolybdate is found critical for the successful formation of such heterojunction. Theoretical and experimental results show that the optimal heterostructures exhibit high HER activity, good stability, and excellent catalytic performance due to the synergistic effect between the unique heterostructures and the encapsulated nitrogen-doped carbon.

Amino functionalized metal-organic framework/rGO composite electrode for flexible Li-ion batteries

In this study, Ni(BDC-NH2)/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composites were synthesized through a solvothermal method. The freestanding Ni(BDC-NH2)/rGO composite electrode exhibited a reversible capacity of 813 mAh g-1 at a current density of 200 mA g-1 after 100 cycles, surpassing the performance of Ni(BDC)/rGO MOFs.

Synthesis of heteroatom incorporated porous carbon encapsulated Fe-doped Co9S8 as an efficient bifunctional electrocatalyst for overall water splitting

The synthesis of noble metal-free bifunctional electrocatalysts, composed of S, N, and O atoms co-incorporated porous carbon encapsulated Fe doped Co9S8 nanoparticles, is achieved by direct pyrolysis of S, Co, and Fe-based polypyrrole precursors. The optimal catalyst (Fe0-33-Co9S8@SNOPC) exhibits outstanding electrocatalytic activity in an alkaline electrolyte, with ultra-low overpotentials and exceptional stability for oxygen and hydrogen evolution reactions, as well as an extremely low cell voltage for overall water splitting.

The lipophilicity elevation of the olefins is attributed to the presence of DHO within the CN semiconductor shell, which allows the olefin molecules to be escorted into the bulk of CN and associated with the oxidation of *OH radicals. The copolymerized CN shows the greatest reduction/oxidation potential and superior overall performance under solar irradiation.

Molecular engineering optimized carbon nitride photocatalyst for CO2 reduction to solar fuels
