Performance of Fe-Ni-W exchanged zeolite for NOx reduction with NH3 in a lab-scale circulating fluidized bed

Hanzi Liu et al.

Summary: A new catalyst (Fe-Ni-W exchanged zeolite) has been reported to extend the application range of SNCR at lower temperatures, increasing NOx conversion rates. Optimization of catalyst usage conditions has led to achieving maximum efficiency at 700 degrees Celsius.

Evaporation and clustering of ammonia droplets in a hot environment

Lorenzo Angelilli et al.

Summary: Recent developments in the transition to zero-carbon fuels highlight ammonia as a viable option for combustion. However, the stability of liquid ammonia combustion is challenging due to its high latent heat of evaporation and slow burning rate. To overcome these issues, a deeper understanding of droplet dynamics and optimization of combustor design are necessary.

Selective Noncatalytic Reduction of NOx Using Ammonium Sulfate

Kristian R. K. Krum et al.

Summary: Ammonium sulfate shows potential as an additive in stationary combustion plants for reducing NOx emissions and controlling deposition and corrosion. Experimental results demonstrate efficient NO reduction at high temperatures and promotion of KCl sulfation by ammonium sulfate. Analysis using a detailed kinetic model reveals significant potential of ammonium sulfate in NOx reduction and corrosion control.

Modified selective non-catalytic reduction system to reduce NOx gas emission in biodiesel powered engines

Kemal Masera et al.

Summary: The study introduces a new design combining SCR and SNCR systems for low power density diesel engines to reduce NOx emissions. Injection of distilled water and urea-water solution can effectively decrease CO and NO emissions from both fossil diesel and biodiesels.
