Global Dissipativity and Quasi-Mittag-Leffler Synchronization of Fractional-Order Discontinuous Complex-Valued Neural Networks

Zhixia Ding et al.

Summary: This article focuses on fractional-order discontinuous complex-valued neural networks (FODCNNs). It introduces a new fractional-order inequality and analyzes the system as a compact entirety in the complex domain, without decomposition. The existence of global Filippov solution is proved based on vector norm and fractional calculus theories. The article also provides sufficient conditions for global dissipativity and quasi-Mittag-Leffler synchronization of FODCNNs using nonsmooth analysis and differential inclusion theory, and estimates the error bounds of quasi-Mittag-Leffler synchronization without initial values.

Global synchronization of uncertain fractional-order BAM neural networks with time delay via improved fractional-order integral inequality

M. Shafiya et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the global synchronization problem for a class of uncertain fractional-order bidirectional associative memory neural networks with constant time delay. Stability conditions are established based on linear matrix inequalities and fractional-order integral inequalities. Global synchronization criteria are developed using a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and improved fractional-order inequalities, extending the results to uncertain networks. A numerical example is presented to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results.

Further results on asymptotic and finite-time stability analysis of fractional-order time-delayed genetic regulatory networks

A. Pratap et al.

Summary: This research investigates the fractional-order genetic regulatory networks (FOGRNs) with feedback regulation delays. The existence and uniqueness of the considered systems are established using the Banach fixed point theorem. Sufficient criteria are obtained based on the Lyapunov method and fractional-order Razumikhin theorem to ensure global asymptotic stability for addressing fractional-order systems. A suitable controller with discontinuous terms is designed to guarantee asymptotic convergence to zero in a finite time and accurately estimate the upper bound of the settling time for finite-time stability. Numerical examples are provided to verify the correctness of the obtained stability results.

Quasi-synchronization of fractional-order multi-layer networks with mismatched parameters via delay-dependent impulsive feedback control

Yao Xu et al.

Summary: The paper investigates the quasi-synchronization issue of fractional-order multi-layer networks with mismatched parameters under delay-dependent impulsive feedback control. A model of fractional-order multi-layer networks with mismatched parameters is constructed, considering both intra-layer and inter-layer couplings. Two criteria for achieving quasi-synchronization are derived using the Lyapunov method and graph theory, with exponential convergence rates and bounds of quasi-synchronization errors deduced. Theoretical results are applied to a practical power system, and illustrative examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the analysis.

Results on passivity analysis of delayed fractional-order neural networks subject to periodic impulses via refined integral inequalities

N. Padmaja et al.

Summary: This manuscript focuses on analysing the passiveness of fractional-order neural networks with parameter uncertainties, delays, and periodic impulses. It addresses the issue of lacking suitable Lyapunov functionals for delay-dependent stability/passivity analysis of fractional-order systems. By introducing a fractional parameter and constructing a refined looped functional, new delay-dependent passivity and stability criteria for the considered FONNs are established.

Observer-based synchronization of memristive neural networks under DoS attacks and actuator saturation and its application to image encryption

Chao Zhou et al.

Summary: This article investigates the synchronization issue of memristive neural networks (MNNs) under denial-of-service (DoS) attacks and actuator saturation using an observer-based controller. The study considers the effect of actuator saturation in the controller design and explores DoS attacks in the communication channel connecting master and slave MNNs. The proposed observer-based control approach estimates the MNNs states and ensures synchronization in the presence of DoS attacks and actuator saturation, with sufficient synchronization conditions derived using the Lyapunov method and stochastic analysis technique.

Global Mittag-Leffler synchronization of discrete-time fractional-order neural networks with time delays

Xiao-Li Zhang et al.

Summary: In this article, the problem of global Mittag-Leffler synchronization is addressed for a specific type of discrete-time fractional-order neural networks with delays. The article constructs a power law inequality for fractional difference using integration by parts, Young inequality, and properties of fractional-order difference. Based on this inequality, along with Lyapunov function theory and properties of nabla Mittag-Leffler function, novel adaptive and delay feedback controllers are proposed to achieve global Mittag-Leffler synchronization. Numerical modeling is conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods.

Multistability of Fractional-Order Neural Networks With Unbounded Time-Varying Delays

Fanghai Zhang et al.

Summary: This article discusses the multistability and attraction of fractional-order neural networks with unbounded time-varying delays. Multiple sufficient conditions are provided for the coexistence of equilibrium points with concave-convex activation functions. The criteria for Mittag-Leffler stability can be simplified to M-matrix and the extension of attraction basin is shown to be independent of the magnitude of delays. Three numerical examples are given to demonstrate the validity of the theoretical results.
