Summary: This paper formulates and studies a fractional-order network model with four neurons, bidirectional ring structure, and self-delay feedback. For nonidentical neurons, a new algebraic technique is developed to deal with the characteristic equation, establishing easy-to-check criteria for determining the Hopf bifurcation point of self-feedback delay. For identical neurons, the crossing curves method is applied to the fractional functional equations to obtain the Hopf bifurcation curve. The results demonstrate that the model's stability behavior changes when the self-feedback delay crosses the Hopf bifurcation point. The correctness of the methodology is validated through two demonstration examples.

Summary: This paper focuses on the Hopf bifurcation of a fractional tri-neuron network with both leakage delay and communication delay, and obtains the stability criterion and bifurcation conditions of the system through fractional Laplace transform and Hopf bifurcation theorem. The stability and bifurcation of the tri-neuron network with a single fractional order are also discussed, and the efficiency of the theoretical results is illustrated through a simulation example.

Summary: This paper investigates the stability and bifurcation of FONN with neutral delays, and finds that both time delay and fractional order have important effects on FONN's stability and bifurcation. It further reveals that FONN with neutral delays can postpone the occurrence of bifurcations compared to FONN with retarded delays.

Summary: The present study investigates the stability and onset of Hopf bifurcation in two types of delayed BAM neural networks (integer-order and fractional-order). A novel delay-independent condition for ensuring stability and Hopf bifurcation onset in integer-order delayed BAM neural networks is proposed, and a delay-independent criterion based on Laplace transform, stability theory, and Hopf bifurcation of fractional-order differential equations is established for maintaining stability and the appearance of Hopf bifurcation in fractional-order BAM neural networks. The study highlights the significant role of time delay in controlling network stability and Hopf bifurcation. By adjusting the value of time delay, the stability region can be effectively enlarged and the time of Hopf bifurcation onset can be delayed for fractional-order BAM neural networks. Matlab simulation results are provided to validate the analytical findings. The results of this study provide an important theoretical basis for network regulation.

Summary: This study proposes a sliding mode controller based on an adaptive higher-order neural network for achieving precise position-tracking control of a hydraulic rotary drive joint. By effectively combining the adaptive neural network algorithm and sliding mode control, the feedback error is used to adaptively approximate the control parameters and realize online adjustment of the controller output. The experimental results demonstrate a significant improvement in position-tracking control compared to the conventional sliding mode control methods.

Summary: This paper introduces a modified chaotic system under the fractional operator with singularity, focusing on the influence of parameters and fractional order. The study uses bifurcation diagrams, Lyapunov exponents, and numerical schemes to analyze the chaotic behaviors and stability of the model's equilibrium points, proposing an adaptive control to correct instability. Initial conditions are found to significantly impact the system's behavior, with coexisting attractors illustrating this influence.
