Review on efficiency improvement effort of perovskite solar cell

Hailin Zhang et al.

Summary: Perovskite materials have excellent optical and electronic properties. The power conversion efficiency of perovskite solar cells has rapidly increased from 3.8% to 25.5% in laboratory settings. Efforts to further improve the efficiency of perovskite solar cells focus on composition tuning and morphology improvement of the perovskite absorption layer, energy level matching of the interface, and carrier extraction and transport rate in the transport layer. Various methods, such as additive engineering, defect passivation, interface engineering, and transmission material optimization, have been suggested.
