Extremely intense green up-conversion luminescent and ultra-high temperature sensitivity in Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped BiTa7O19 phosphors

Hongqiang Cui et al.

Summary: Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped BiTa7O19 phosphors with bright pure green emission were successfully synthesized in this study. The optimized doping concentration resulted in higher green luminescence intensity compared to commercial phosphors, as well as a higher absolute sensitivity.

Pr3+-doped oxyfluoride glass ceramic as a white LED color converter wide color gamut

Hansol Lee et al.

Summary: Pr3+ singly doped SiO2-Na2O-Al2O3-LaF3 glass ceramics were fabricated as an inorganic color converter for wLEDs, with enhanced green and red emission intensities achieved through heat treatment to adjust the relative intensities of different emission colors. The crystallization of the glass with heat treatment and the formation of LaF3 crystals within the glass ceramic were discussed, and a wLED with a wide color gamut of up to 120% of the NTSC was successfully demonstrated.

Up-conversion hybrid nanomaterials for light- and heat-driven applications

Akash Gupta et al.

Summary: The review explores the diverse properties of hybrid materials containing up-conversion nanoparticles (UCNPs), including fluorescence and photothermal behavior, offering potential in light and heat driven applications. Combining UCNPs with different materials leads to novel optical properties such as improved light response in photodetectors and effective thermal control systems. The new materials also demonstrate potential in enhanced solar energy utilization, optical limiting phenomena, and increased fluorescence sensitivity.
