Naturally Occurring Retirement Communities: Scoping Review

Summary: This review summarizes the existing literature on NORCs and demonstrates the potential of NORC-SSPs as an alternative model for supporting aging in place. Longitudinal research is recommended to explore the impacts of both NORCs and NORC-SSPs on older adult health and well-being. Future research should also focus on improving the sustainability of NORC-SSPs.
