These guidelines differ from international societal guidelines, as they take into account both clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness for implementation within the UK's National Health Service. This review article aims to provide an overview of the NICE guideline, compare it to other guidelines, and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the NICE guideline.
