Isotretinoin and adverse neuropsychiatric outcomes: retrospective cohort study using routine data

Identifying mental health needs of children and youth with skin disease: A systematic review of screening and assessment tools

Summary: This study aimed to identify and evaluate patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) used to screen and assess mental health symptoms in youth with skin disease. A systematic literature search revealed 111 PROMs used in this population. While there are generic mental health scales available, only one PROM has been specifically validated in youth with skin disease, and it showed poor quality of evidence.

Utilization and Acceptability of Formal and Informal Support for Adolescents Following Self-Harm Before and During the First COVID-19 Lockdown: Results From a Large-Scale English Schools Survey

Eczema and related atopic diseases are associated with increased symptom severity in children with autism spectrum disorder

Interestingly, children with ASD often have skin disorders, possibly due to the shared embryonic origin of skin and neural tissue. mTOR-related synaptic pathology causes autism spectrum disorder-associated functional hyperconnectivity
