Impact of foliar spray of zinc oxide nanoparticles on the photosynthesis of Pisum sativum L. under salt stress

Hisham A. Elshoky et al.

Summary: This study found that under physiological conditions, ZnO-Si NPs and low concentrations of ZnO NPs have positive effects on Pisum sativum L. plants, while both types of nanoparticles can alleviate the negative effects of sodium chloride under salt stress conditions, with ZnO-Si NPs showing a stronger protective effect.

Effect of TiO2 Nanoparticles on the Yield and Photophysiological Responses of Cherry Tomatoes during the Rainy Season

Hyo Gil Choi

Summary: This study investigated the influence of TiO2 foliar spray on the yield and photophysiological responses of cherry tomato under low ambient light intensity. Results showed that TiO2 treatment increased electron transport and CO2 fixation in plants under low light conditions, while reducing the fruit size and delaying ripening time. Additionally, TiO2 treatment significantly increased fruit hardness and yield in cherry tomatoes.

Nanoparticles of cerium, iron, and silicon oxides change the metabolism of phenols and flavonoids in butterhead lettuce and sweet pepper seedlings

Andrzej Kalisz et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the effects of CeO2, Fe2O3, and SiO2 nanoparticles on the metabolism and antioxidant status of butterhead lettuce and sweet pepper seedlings. Different nanoparticles had varied impacts on phenolics and flavonoids, as well as the antioxidant capacity of the plants, potentially influenced by the plant species' stress tolerance levels.
