Rapid determination of ammonia nitrogen concentration in biogas slurry based on NIR transmission spectroscopy with characteristic wavelength selection

Zhiqiang Wang et al.

Summary: This study establishes a detection model for rapid evaluation of ammonia nitrogen concentration in biogas slurry by combining near infrared transmission spectroscopy with partial least squares. By using the competitive adaptive reweighted sampling algorithm and genetic simulated annealing algorithm for wavelength selection, the accuracy and efficiency of the spectral detection model are effectively improved. The results show that this method can reduce modeling wavelength variables and enhance the prediction ability of the model.

Usage of soluble soy protein on enzymatically hydrolysis of apple pomace for cost-efficient bioethanol production

Ekin Demiray et al.

Summary: The study demonstrated the positive effect of soluble soy protein on enzymatic hydrolysis and bioethanol production from apple pomace. Adding soluble soy protein can increase sugar concentration and bioethanol yield, making it a potentially economical option for bioethanol production.

An optimal biorefinery development for pectin and biofuels production from orange wastes without enzyme consumption

Safoura Vaez et al.

Summary: Orange wastes were utilized as feedstock to produce pectin, ethanol, and biogas through dilute acid treatment. The highest pectin extraction yields were obtained from the treatment at 94 degrees C for 60 minutes for both peel and pulp. The optimal conditions for maximum ethanol yields were at 140 degrees C for 30 minutes.
