Validation of TOI-1221 b: A Warm Sub-Neptune Exhibiting Transit Timing Variations around a Sun-like Star

Constraining the Densities of the Three Kepler-289 Planets with Transit Timing Variations

Summary: Kepler-289 is a young, Sun-like star with a three-planet system consisting of two sub-Neptunes and one cool giant planet. The planets exhibit transit timing variations (TTVs) with close orbital resonance. New transit observations of Kepler-289c using diffuser-assisted photometry extend the original four-year TTV baseline by 7.5 years. Improved analysis results in better mass and density constraints for all three planets, with the innermost planet showing the largest improvement. Dust evolution models suggest that Kepler-289c formed beyond 1 AU and likely migrated inward.
