Experimental study on the concentration shift characteristics in a single-stage recuperative heat pump with large temperature lift

Zijian Liu et al.

Summary: Heat pumps have attracted wide interest due to their ability to harvest energy from the environment. The recuperative heat pump with refrigerant mixture can meet demand for large temperature lift and has advantages over other types of heat pumps. However, the concentration shift in the recuperative heat pump affects its performance. Experimental and modeling studies have shown that the concentration shift is significant in practical applications and is influenced by factors such as temperature and oil dissolving properties.

A review and perspective on industry high-temperature heat pumps

Jiatong Jiang et al.

Summary: This study proposes future development directions for High-temperature Heat Pumps (HTHPs) based on laboratory-scale research and application cases. The study emphasizes the use of low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerants in laboratory research, while high-GWP refrigerants are dominant in applications. The suggested prospects for future development include the use of low-GWP refrigerants, higher output temperatures, larger heating capacities, and higher Coefficients of Potential (COP).

Vapor-liquid equilibrium, liquid density and excess enthalpy of the carbon dioxide plus acetone mixture: Experimental measurements and correlations

Gisselle E. Ramirez-Ramos et al.

Summary: New vapor-liquid equilibrium data of the CO2+acetone mixture were determined using a static and synthetic method at temperatures ranging from (283.15 to 383.15) K and a composition range from (4 to 85) % in CO2 mole fraction. The study found that carbon dioxide exhibits total miscibility and good solubility in acetone. The experimental and calculated values showed a small average deviation, with good agreement between the calculation and experimental values.

Experimental study on heating performance of a CO2 heat pump system for an electric bus

Xia Song et al.

Summary: This study investigated the heating performance of a heat pump system for an electric bus in cold climate using CO2 as refrigerant. The results showed satisfactory heating capacity and COP, which increased with indoor air flow rate but decreased with indoor air temperature. The system's optimum high pressure was more affected by indoor air temperature than indoor air flow rate.

An air-source hybrid absorption-compression heat pump with large temperature lift

J. T. Gao et al.

Summary: In this study, a novel air-source hybrid absorption-compression heat pump is proposed to achieve a large temperature lift and relatively good thermodynamic efficiency. Heat recovery between the two sub-cycles is achieved to reduce the heat exchange capacity with air, saving air-liquid heat exchanger area and cost.Overall, the proposed system provides a feasible and efficient way to upgrade ambient heat for industrial uses with different capacities.
