N, P, and S co-doped 3D porous carbon-architectured cathode for high-performance Zn-ion hybrid capacitors

Summary: In this study, a hierarchical porous carbon sphere (HPCS) co-doped with N, P and S is developed, which features a three-dimensional porous frame structure to enhance conductivity and provide fast kinetics and short mass transfer pathways. The Zn-ion hybrid capacitors (ZIHCs) using HPCS-900 as the cathode material exhibit high capacity, excellent energy density and power density. The HPCS-900 also shows high stability with a capacity retention of 95.24% after 30,000 cycles.
