Highly efficient NH3-SCR of NOx over MnFeW/Ti catalyst at low temperature: SO2 tolerance and reaction mechanism

Lijun Liu et al.

Summary: The MnFeW/Ti composite oxide catalyst exhibits excellent SCR activity, N-2 selectivity and SO2 tolerance due to the formation of Mn-O-W and Fe-O-W bonds, which accelerate the SCR reaction rate. By tuning surface acidity via W doping, the oxidation of SO2 is inhibited, leading to improved performance at low temperature.

Insight into the activity and SO2 tolerance of hierarchically ordered MnFe1-δCoδOx ternary oxides for low-temperature selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH3

Yonglong Li et al.

Summary: In this study, Co-doped MnFeOx ternary mixed oxides with hierarchically ordered structure exhibited enhanced low-temperature activity, broadened temperature window, improved water resistance, and enhanced SO2 and soot tolerance for NH3-SCR of NOx. The enhanced performance was attributed to the presence of active oxygen species, higher content of Mn4+, Fe3+, and Co3+, and improved surface acidity, which facilitated the adsorption and activation of NO and NH3, making it a promising candidate for low-temperature deNOx application.

Two steps synthesis of CeTiOx oxides nanotube catalyst: Enhanced activity, resistance of SO2 and H2O for low temperature NH3-SCR of NOx

Zhiping Zhang et al.

Summary: CeTiOx-T with nanotube structure exhibits excellent catalytic activity, SO2 and H2O tolerance, and stability in NH3-SCR reaction. The strong interaction between Ce and Ti leads to short-range ordered Ce-O-Ti species, resulting in a larger BET surface area and higher NH3-SCR performance than traditional catalysts. In situ DRIFTS results suggest different reaction mechanisms at low and high temperatures over CeTiOx-T.
