Summary: The study developed a high-resolution emission inventory of consistent sources of air pollutants and greenhouse gases in Zhengzhou. It estimated future emissions from power plants and on-road mobile using designed scenarios with 2030 as the target year. The major contributors to emissions were stationary combustion and mobile sources for SO2, NOx, CO, and CO2, fugitive dust for PM10, and other sources for CH4.

Optimization and techno-economic analysis of a solar photo-voltaic/biomass/diesel/battery hybrid off-grid power generation system for rural remote electrification in eastern India

Summary: This study presents a case study on powering energy poor remote rural communities in Eastern India using locally available solar, biomass, and diesel energy resources. The optimized system architecture is identified using the Hybrid Optimization Model for Electric Renewables tool. The study finds that the selected low-cost optimized hybrid configuration significantly reduces the cost of electricity and improves system economics, while also reducing emissions. The use of solar energy resource in the optimal system modeling provides substantial return on investment and internal rate of return.

Optimal sizing of photovoltaic systems based green hydrogen refueling stations case study Oman

Summary: Green hydrogen plays a crucial role in reducing carbon dioxide emissions and dependence on fossil fuels, as well as improving the economy of the energy sector. This study analyzes three methods for green hydrogen production based on photovoltaic systems and uses techno-economic models to calculate the Levelized Hydrogen Cost (LHC) for different system configurations. The results of the optimization analysis enable the selection of the optimal solution and show the potential of grid-connected PV systems for cost-effective green hydrogen production.

Techno-economic feasibility analysis of Benban solar Park

The results show that the project is economically feasible and will significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Hybrid renewable energy system for a remote area in UAE
