Impedance Characteristic Analysis and Stability Improvement Method for DFIG System Within PLL Bandwidth Based on Different Reference Frames

Bin Hu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the stability of doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) systems under different reference frames using an equivalent single-input single-output impedance model. It is found that DFIG systems implemented in the virtual reference frame or alpha beta-frame exhibit greater stability compared to the synchronous reference frame. To further enhance system stability, this paper proposes a method to emulate the virtual reference frame in the synchronous reference frame and validates its effectiveness through experiments.

A simple approach for short-term wind speed interval prediction based on independently recurrent neural networks and error probability distribution

Adnan Saeed et al.

Summary: This paper introduces two new interval prediction frameworks for wind speed, one integrating quantile regression loss function and the other estimating prediction intervals using a Gaussian function. Experimental results show a remarkable improvement of 43% and 12% in average coverage width criteria index compared to traditional models and LSTM based models.

Multi-objective Framework for Quantile Forecasting in Financial Time Series Using Transformers

Samuel Lopez-Ruiz et al.

Summary: This study emphasizes the importance of uncertainty in financial time series forecasting and optimizes the quality of quantile interval predictions using multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. The high performance quantile multi-horizon predictions are generated by an attention-based deep learning model based on transformers, and the weights are optimized using evolutionary algorithms. The results show a wide range of solutions that allow decision makers to efficiently fine-tune the quantile forecasts without retraining the neural network.
