Wedge Resection vs Lobectomy for Clinical Stage IA Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer With Occult Lymph Node Disease

Peter J. Kneuertz et al.

Summary: This study compares the long-term prognosis of patients with clinical stage Ia non-small cell lung cancer and occult lymph node disease undergoing wedge resection vs lobectomy. The results showed that lobectomy was associated with improved overall survival compared with wedge resection for patients with occult pN1 disease, but not for pN2 disease.
