Dynamic Graph Convolution Network for Traffic Forecasting Based on Latent Network of Laplace Matrix Estimation

Kan Guo et al.

Summary: Traffic forecasting is a challenging problem due to the complexity and non-stationary nature of traffic data. Graph Convolution Network (GCN) based methods have shown promising performance in this area. However, current methods lack the utilization of spatial and temporal properties in graph construction. DSTGCN: Dynamic Spatial-Temporal Graph Convolutional Network for Traffic Prediction

Jia Hu et al.

Summary: Traffic prediction is crucial for building a smart city as it helps in making important decisions and planning travel routes. However, current research mostly focuses on modelling relationships between node pairs and neglects the analysis of node properties, leading to performance bottlenecks. To address this, a dynamic spatial-temporal graph convolutional network (DSTGCN) is proposed, which captures dynamic traffic information through a dynamic graph generation module and a graph convolution cycle module. DSTGCN outperforms most baseline models in two types of traffic prediction tasks.
