The article discusses an illegitimate plant name and proposes a new name to replace it in order to avoid conflicts.
Colea ramiflora Zjhra is an illegitimate name, being a later homonym of C. ramiflora (Decne.) DC. Hence, a new name, Colea madagascariensis Kottaim. is proposed to replace C. ramiflora Zjhra.
