Controllable Preparation of 2D V2O5 Peroxidase-Mimetic Nanozyme to Develop Portable Paper-Based Analytical Device for Intelligent Pesticide Assay

Haiyin Li et al.

Summary: Given the severe harmfulness of pesticides, unique characteristics of peroxidase-mimetic nanozymes, and favorable prospects of paper-based analytical devices (PADs), it is highly desirable to construct a nanozyme-based PAD for intelligent analysis of pesticides. The 2D nanosheet-like V2O5 (2D-VONz) with exclusive peroxidase-mimetic activity is prepared under optimal conditions. Experimental characterizations demonstrate that 2D-VONz exhibits high affinity and catalytic rate and catalytic oxidation is dependent on center dot OH yielded from the decomposition of H2O2 catalyzed by 2D-VONz.

An electrochemical sensor based on an anti-fouling membrane for the determination of histamine in fish samples

Juan Liu et al.

Summary: A simple, sensitive, and repeatable electrochemical measurement method for HA was developed using a Nafion and multi-walled carbon nanotube composite membrane modified glassy carbon electrode. The modified electrode significantly enhanced the oxidation peak current and allowed for repeatable measurements of HA. This method showed linear and natural log-linear relationships between the oxidation peak current and HA concentration, with a detection limit of 0.39 μmol/L. Successful application in fish samples demonstrated recoveries ranging from 98.2% to 101.2%.
