High-performance Pt/Ti3C2Tx MXene based graphene electrochemical transistor for selective detection of dopamine

Summary: The high-performance two-dimensional Ti3C2Tx MXene was successfully prepared and used for the modification of a glassy carbon electrode in this study. The modified Pt/Ti3C2Tx glassy carbon electrode was assembled with a monolayer graphene channel to form a transistor device, which exhibited a low detection limit and a wide detection concentration range for dopamine. The improved conductivity and hydrophilicity of Ti3C2Tx MXene, as well as its electrostatic adsorption of protonated dopamine and electrostatic repulsion of negatively charged interfering substances, contributed to the device’s selectivity.
