Self-assembled DNA/RNA nanospheres with cascade signal amplification for intracellular MicroRNA imaging

Juan Song et al.

Summary: The study presents a DNA/RNA nanosphere for in situ imaging of miRNAs in living cells. The nanosphere exhibits excellent biocompatibility and stability, and can trigger cascade amplification reaction to generate strong fluorescence signal in the presence of the target miRNA. The results demonstrate the sensitive detection of miRNAs in vitro and in tumor cells using the developed nanosphere.
